End of August 2026 Updates
One shop note for everything that landed from August 23 through early September, plus a short maintenance heads-up. The daily Updates threads are folded into this post so you are not hunting seven threads for the same story.

Where things stand
Public checkout is still off. The sitewide banner is still the truth. Catalog, cart, wishlist, ride wall, forum, Messages, and Ask ES stay up. You can build a cart and park hardware on named lists. You cannot walk that cart through to a live charge as a member until we flip the register. We are aiming for a public opening of around September 21 or October 1, depending on how fast the business paperwork clears. We will post here when the date is firm and again when checkout is live.

Forum (August 23)
Pictures on posts and replies. They show at 500px; click one to open it bigger.
Edit your post. Delete a picture. Delete your post. Admins can move or delete a topic.
Account gets an avatar. It shows next to your name on the forum.
Click a name to see that person’s cars.
Who is online sits at the bottom of the forum.
Home and board lists show the last person who replied, and when.

Messages, profiles, shop polish (August 25)
Private messages: Message user on a profile or next to a name. The envelope in the nav shows unread mail. A site banner fires when someone writes you; email gets a link to the thread, not the private text.
Public profile checkbox on Account: show name and city. Street, ZIP, and email stay private.
Admin can merge two logins when a member ends up with two accounts. The Keep login keeps its password.
More woofers and amps in the shop. Admin Sales desk and Tax report. Checkout stays on Stripe; your card never hits this server.
Shared links carry title, description, and photo (OG cards).
Ride and forum pictures get checked. If a shot is mostly skin, it does not go up — NO PORN. NICE TRY, MY GUY.

About, Orders, voice, Ask ES (August 26)
About page: installs by request out of the home in Gratiot, Isabella, Clinton, Midland, and Saginaw counties. No commercial shop. Phone: 1 (989) 644-9604.
Orders in the handle menu and footer for logged-in members — your checkout history on this site.
Register asks for a phone and a 4–6 digit PIN (also set later under Account). Calls match that phone and PIN for order lookup. The PIN is not your login password.
Ask ES in the corner: shop, forum, rides, and — if logged in — your orders. Chatbot, not staff. People are still on this board.

Checkout rebuild (August 27)
We tore the checkout counter apart and put it back together so it behaves like a shop instead of a demo that writes junk into the books every time someone looks at a card form and walks away.
Public register closed while that work settles. Banner on every page. Catalog / rides / forum stay up. Cart still holds what you put in it. Members cannot charge yet.
Pay stays on this site when we reopen. Card fields on the checkout page. No bounce to another branded window. Card numbers never land on our server.
Abandoned card starts no longer create unpaid invoices. The desk only gets an order after payment is captured.
Cash path is for in-person work with the shop passcode on — not a public “pay later” button.
Orders is a receipt, not a register. No refund button, no warehouse tools, no shop mailbox on the member side. Need a refund or cancel? Use Refund / cancel order so Contact opens with the ES- number filled in. We handle the refund from the sales desk.
Captured jobs can go to the wholesaler from the sales desk with vendor codes, qty, dealer cost, and ship-to. Members do not send that mail.
Admins can still test checkout while public is off, and only on test processor keys.
If something looks wrong after we reopen, use Contact and leave the order number in the note.

FAQ, wishlist, navigation (August 28)
FAQ in the top bar after Shop — login gate, cart, checkout when open, payment, shipping and tax, Orders as receipt, My Ride, forum. When checkout is open we take card, US bank account, and Klarna on this site. Do not put card or bank numbers in Contact, the forum, or Messages.
Wishlist (logged in only) to the right of Cart. Heart from a shop card or the product page. Name lists (Dad’s car, the daily, the daughter’s trunk). Unsorted inbox for hardware without a home. Move lines, rename, delete. Add list to cart puts in-stock lines on the cart and leaves the list intact.
About quote ticker — real installs, real names. Hover or tab in to pause.
Cadillac-to-mainline story lives in Lobby as Cadillac to mainline, not on this board.
Handle menu cleanup: Messages is the envelope; Orders and Account together; Admin if you have it; Logout. Icons in the bar and footer credit: BlueShop by Blue Integrations.

Shipping, tax, invoice (August 30 / 31)
Cart and checkout shipping: Ground, 3-day, or Next day. Flat prices per order. Ground can go free past the free-ship threshold. Disabled methods do not show.
Ship-to for tax comes from the country and state on your Account. Sales tax only when that ship-to matches the state where this shop collects tax.
After real capture you get a PDF invoice by email and from Orders when logged in.

Shop tabs: Excessive Sounds - Woofer and Excessive Sounds - Amplifiers alongside distributor categories.
Dominator line under Excessive Sounds - Woofer — 12, 15, and 18 inch, dual 2 ohm and dual 4 ohm — photos, specs, pricing. Heart, list, cart. Pay path still closed.
Shipping choices from the 8/31 note are wired through to fulfillment. When checkout opens, Ground / 3-day / Next day ride on the order the warehouse ships.
Business formalities in motion — entity, merchant, tax registration. Aiming public open ~September 21 or October 1. We will post when the date is firm and when checkout is live.
